I’m using the past paper from 2013

I would do question 17. I would analyse the grammar as mr birling becomes shaken which is evident through the use of elipsis and full stops. Then i would say how it has affected the characters who are not remorseful this makes the audience aware that the telephone call is because not everybody changed. He done this because he had an agenda when writing this play.

TKAM question

i would talk about the metaphor showing him as a rooster which shows he is filling with pride as roosters are known for having physical features which we associate with pride such as puffed up chest. Lee uses grammar to show atticus as relaxed as there is nothing which shows rush this also combined with the description of him moving leisurely that he is relaxed. I would also talk about the contradiction of scouts ideas such as Atticus going against something which he had taught her (the questioning of mr. ewell when he doesn’t know the answer) this inst something atticus would do usually and it makes the audience uncertain as this is extremely weird for atticus.

Compare Tom with Boo and Rolphus Daymond. ideas about prejudice. Idea about loss of innocence in scout and jem and dill. Mockingbird is used to represent innocence.

Sir how many points are we expected to make on each question?
